Target standard
The site was built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What we have done for accessibility
- Semantic structure: a single main heading (H1) per page, a correct heading hierarchy, labelled navigation areas and breadcrumbs.
- A “Skip to content” link at the start of each page and full keyboard navigation, including the mobile menu and the “Our cranes” submenu.
- A visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
- Colour contrast checked automatically for text and buttons.
- Alternative text for images; decorative images are ignored by screen readers.
- Page zoom is allowed on all devices.
- Links that open in a new tab are announced to screen readers.
- Crane technical specifications are presented in tables with row headers.
- Animations are reduced automatically if you have turned on “reduce motion” in your system.
- The decorative video on the home page has no sound and a pause/play button. It does not start automatically when reduced motion or data saving is on. YouTube clips in articles load only on request.
- Forms have labels, validation messages and step-by-step keyboard navigation; dialogs can be closed with Escape.
- Phone numbers and the email address are links you can use directly.
- The English version has its own language setting, so screen readers read it in English.
Known limitations
- Embedded videos are hosted on YouTube and belong to other authors; subtitles and audio description depend on them.
- PDF documents taken over from the previous site (service and spare parts) are in Romanian and may not be fully accessible.
- Some older crane photos have a low resolution.
How the site was evaluated
Internal evaluation carried out on 27 October 2026, with automated tests (Lighthouse, automated checks of the page structure) and a manual check of keyboard navigation and of phone screens.
