Which type of crane suits the job and which specifications matter.
Tower cranes, up to 48 m high with jibs up to 55 m, and self-erecting cranes, up to 22 m high with jibs up to 32 m. We also offer accessories such as radio remote controls and crane buckets.
In depth: Tower cranes Self-erecting cranes
Self-erecting cranes do not need another crane to be erected and do not need a poured concrete foundation, which makes them suitable for sites with limited space or short construction times. Tower cranes reach greater heights and longer jibs, but the foundation is an important and significant cost.

The height of the highest point of the building, plus room for the load and slings, usually 3–5 m. For a five-storey building of about 15 m, look for at least 19–20 m under the hook. Cranes can be configured in height and jib length to suit the job.

A crane’s maximum load varies along the jib: close to the tower it can lift more, and towards the tip the capacity drops. That is why both the weight of the load and its horizontal distance from the crane axis matter. The actual capacity is checked in the model’s load chart.
